Bluegrass collaborated again with Tribal DDB to build an iPad
application for Honda South Africa. The app showcased Honda's
entire car range, including the secret launch of the new Civic 4
and 5 door model at the show. 9 Apple iPads were locked down at in
white perspex stands and show visitors were able to use the iPads
to learn about how Honda is comitted to helping the environment,
read about ASIMO Honda's intelligent robot, watch videos and
Request a Test drive from any Honda dealer throughout South
Africa.
Initial stages of the app creation including heavy UX and
usability analysis and protoyping by Bluegrass. Based on these
wireframes, designs were created by DDB. Then the app development
was completed by Bluegrass. Launched at the Johannesburg Motor Show
on the 6th October 2011 it was a huge success and now Phase II is
underway to get the app into the Apple App Store with additional
functionality.
